In the embedded space, Matt contributes to the Thingino open-source firmware project, where he's developed neural network accelerator support for Ingenic T41 cameras and works on ISP drivers. His hardware adventures—including SoC transplants to bypass vendor secureboot—are documented on his YouTube channel.
Matt holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Edmund J. James Scholar, Honors). He lives in Maine with a growing collection of camera boards in various states of functionality.
